Saudade is real and over-sold. Portuguese people also say tenho pena, estou farto, faz-me confusão, estou descansado. Fluency is having the un-poetic verbs too. Then saudade can come back as itself, not as a souvenir.
Tenho saudades de ouvir a rádio na cozinha da minha avó.
I miss hearing the radio in my grandmother's kitchen.
